PUBLIC HEARING

 

Mayor Farwell opened the public hearing at 6:30 PM to discuss:

1) ORDINANCES 510-15; PROPOSAL TO VACATE ALLEY EAST OF LAMBERT STREET & WEST OF WASHINGTON STREET AND ADJACENT TO LOTS 1-12, INCLUSIVE, IN BLOCK 25 IN THE CITY OF RANDOLPH

2) ORDINANCE 511-15; PROPOSAL TO VACATE ALLEY EAST OF MAIN STREET & WEST OF DEPOT STREET AND ADJACENT TO LOTS 8-13, IN BLOCK 17 IN THE CITY OF RANDOLPH

In attendance were council members Claude Perkins, Mike Berger, Al Marshall, Dustin Moreland. Brian Hardy was absent. City Attorney Vicki Danley was also present. No visitors. The Mayor asked if there were any questions in regard to the ordinances, there were none.

Marshall made a motion to accept the ordinances and Moreland seconded. All in favor.

Claude made a motion to waive the 2nd and 3rd hearings, Mike seconded. All in favor.

The meeting was closed at 6:35 PM.

REGULAR MEETING

CALL TO ORDER: 7PM by Mayor

COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT/ABSENT: Present – Claude Perkins, Mike Berger, Dustin Moreland and Al Marshall. Brian Hardy was absent.

INTRO OF VISITORS/BUSINESS: Rhett Goy-NISHNA INS., Sandra Gregory, Dave Heywood, Pat & Rose Hute

1) BOBBY BENTON – FM SCHOOL BOND ISSUE – DID not attend

2) RHETT GOY –Rhett reviewed the 2015/16 city insurance policy with the council and presented invoice for payment.

3) SANDRA GREGORY – Advised Council the roof of the library is leaking with each additional rain and needs attention. Council will get bids. NISHNA INS. will open a claim to advise if damage is due to storms.

ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: No changes made

REVIEW OF PREVIOUS MONTHS COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES: After noting a change to the August council meeting minutes, Moreland made the motion to accept the minutes, Perkins seconded, motion carried.

REVIEW OF BILLS: Perkins made motion to accept the bills as presented, Berger seconded & motion carried.

REVIEW OF TREASURER’S REPORT

OLD BUISNESS:

1) “Resolution No.  180-15

Resolution Approving Deed as presented and signed of property sold Hardy Sales, Inc.”

Danley presented the resolution to the council. Moreland made motion to accept the resolution, seconded by

2) Park / Equipment: during last meeting it was determined that park committee should take a look at where to place the equipment. The committee has not yet met.

3) Demolition of derelict building at 105 E Street-Dunsdon Construction ETA 2nd week in September

4) Sidewalk/Highway Project:

5) Abatement Status: French presented a spreadsheet showing progress of abatements.

6) Tree Grant: no action yet as this was tabled to fall.

NEW BUSINESS:

1) Building Permit for Hardy Sales: French presented the request for building permit. Marshall made a motion to approve the permit, Moreland seconded and motion carried.

2) Residents need to be aware there is no parking in alleys for any period of time. ______________________________________________________________________

ADJOURN: At 7:50PM Moreland made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Marshall. All in favor.
